Forming new club... membership now open

I am formally opening membership to the Club of SOF. To join, you must be older than dirt and forgetful as h*ll. SOF stands for 'Senile Olf F*rts'!

Recently I set up a Tiger with reveresed ailerons, found of belatedly that I had purchased the wrong 480 for the same and today went to the field and left part of a plane at home.

...er... what was I talking about? Oh, yeah.... SOF.

Anyone else have the credentials to join? Membership screening is pretty relaxed.

Huh?

Can I join?

I'm only 39 but am quite senile. Went flying once only to realize I left the wings and transmitter home. Not sure why I bothered to take the fuselarge!

You're in... age is a loose prerequisite. We can all get young or old at any age!

How 'bout me?

Looked all over for my pipe. Couldn't find it.

Wife pointed out that it was in the corner of my mouth.

Sounds like a qualifier. However, do we then assume you've been flawless in working around e-planes?

I think I already have life membership. I've been forgetfull for ages, ever since...no it's gone.

Not that I've ever loaded my planes into the car, driven to the field and then had to go back home for the charger (and the battery connected to it at the time).

And I wouldn't want you to think that I've ever taken off with the Tx antenna down (and got away with it).

I'm pretty sure I've never been to the LHS for that last little thing I need to complete a model and then found the one I bought last week as soon as I got home.

Of course if I had done those things, would I qualify ?

This morning I poured coffee into my Froot Loops... , I guess I was still sleeping, does that qualify?

I also sent an order off to Horizon for a much needed part, and then found some other things to buy...but then forgot to order what I needed...

I'm 28, but I think I've been forgetful and senile all my life...I just can't remember.. !

Senility must also run in my family. My cousin launched his glider with the receiver turned off once.

Is there a family discount on club membership?

Probably will be ok so long as Supreme, Ultimate, etc. etc. Poobah is reserved for our ultimate LEADER! assuming he or she can remember who they are!

Leave me alone!

Let's see if this counts... I chucked a 2M glider off a slope in a decent wind with the receiver off and proceeded to watch it circle around and land in a tree.

dreamer that DEFINITELY counts..

Perfection? hardly, I'm just way too uptight about my plane to forget something that could jeopardize it. I've actually been really worried about flying it since I finished painting it and everything. It does look nice now. Got the gearbox and the bigger prop, it's a metallic blue color, matches Fitz's car... wait, what was the subject? oh yeah, being senile...

Now this comes into play at work a lot... like I'll go up to a table that has their food and start with the whole "what can I get ya'll to drink" before it sinks in... I poured coffee in a man's tea glass, not thinking and it cracked... I forget little things but usually nothing really big. Give me a little while.. I'll come up with a really good one.

hell I'm senile I forget what I forgot about in the first place. I even went so far as to go flying and when I got there relised I had nothing in the car (now thats a 90k round trip) I thought I had packed it the night before and since I can't see it unless go in boot well.

With these happy pills I'm even forgetting to wake up.

Of course the best one is when I forget the Stairs when vacating the Ablutions part of the house and proceed to meet the floor at the bottom quicker than intended although has been at lest a year now ohhhhhhh could this mean I remember the previous fall.
