Show us your bird shots.... A2A-AP

I noticed a gull that was flying above my Easystar two weeks ago but my Nikon was facing down for the plan view AP photo contest so my only hope was to do a loop and catch him while inverted. Luckily I was filming at 30 fps, and caught the gull from below looking up. You can see the whole video here:

I am not trying to steal away from the contest, I am interested in seeing what has been done in the past involving birds and planes.

Feel free to post any air to air bird shots here that don't qualify for the AP contest.........

So far, this is it!

I happened to be flying one day and a hawk flew close by. I got one picture of him!

Too early

Here is a picture taken at our model field (Woodland/Davis Aeromodelers) some time ago. We were going in oposite directions, (my camera faces left).

CC

spectacular.

Did you having only one chance to get this shot? Any details on how you got it? Sports mode three frame burst....etc.

AP is like shooting from the hip only the hip is 300 feet away. I bet your heart was pounding trying to line up that shot!

Is there a trend here? RCG screen names with birds? Quailbird, California Condor..
Time to rename to Sweatyfeathers!

That picture was taken withan Aiptek 1.3 SD camera. The hawks often circle over our field. I was trying to get a shot, but this was the lucky one as I was going in the opposite diection.

Here’s a couple of bird pictures, I have posted some elsewhere but seeing we have a dedicated thread running on the subject I will post them again here.

Three are from an AP fly-in last Sunday with a flock of lapwings and the other is a seagull getting into the shot accidentally.
