It was an awesome day at Blythe, so much fun without Ron hmm.. I mean without wind ( just kidding).

I need to start building more planes... Flying season is officially open with th nice 83 degrees weather. I actually came back to camp and flew a little more... I think I have a good feel of how to fly the SS... hmm what should be the next project, any suggestions?

Pepe,

If you want to build a kit, I highly recommend the Mountain Models Smoothe as a next plane after the slowstick. It's a pretty easy build and a great flier.

...did someone mention building a kit?.....

I like the Stevensaero SQuiRT 400 (aileron wing sold seperately) or the
SQuiRT 700 (aileron wing due Winter 2005?). Very good performance on a $14.00 brushed motor (SQuiRT400), can take a lot of abuse without "crunching" like most other balsa kits, fun, quick building. They have other models as well. There is always more in the box than you ordered...a very usable gift is included. Orders over 125.00 free shipping via priority mail. I get orders in 2 days. ...and that's all I've got to say about that....

Sorry I missed you guys Sunday! Seemed like the best flying day of the year.
I had parental responsibilities.

Since Vyceroy answered last weeks trivia question correctly he will be awarded a Stevensaero Adrenaline Rush Hotliner Short kit the next time I see him. Please note that the build instructions are available on line as a PDF file and are not included in the kit. I did a bulk buy and we'll draw names from a hat in the future so Vyce doesn't have to fly alone. Free stuff is good, Right!

Very nice video of your plane Brian, today I tried to fly an alleycat, and it is a hard plane to fly, but is very easy to crash and fix. First try, it started rolling to the left, I kept the plane pointing up so I had to cut the power or it will go up like a rocket. I managed to make a turn, cut the power and land. Second try, took off, started rolling to the left again, I tried to get to point up... to late... up is down and this point with the rolling....
Nose into the ground, went back to the house 5 minutes later is ready to go again. I will give it a try tomorrow...
