Kyosho F-86F E conversion.

Picked up my F-86 Saturday from Electric Jet Factory. Nice kit! Built up wing and great covering job. Going to start the conversion today. Using Midi fan, Hacker D50-18S motor and 12-14 2400ma batteries. Should only take about a week due to the amount of prefab. I'll be taking pictures and Robert will post a conversion page on his web site. He is selling the plane without the glow motor/fan package.

Bob-
I heard this plane was way too heavy to convert into electric. What is the weight of the airframe? Are you sticking retracts in it?
Thanks,
Shelby

I'm building fixed gear. I'll weigh the fus and wings and post is here. Fan unit is the same size as the Midi fan. Keep you posted.

Price is just the airframe only. Painted fuselage weight is 12 oz. This includes internal structure and inlet. Fan mounts in the rear very simply.

I'm getting there the fan is mounted, the wing is assembled and the horizontal stab is attached. Starting to look like a F-86. Trying to decide if to use the stock radio installation or put the servo's closer to the control surface.

See Electric Jet Factory (Area 51)for cost of basic airframe. Just 3 servos plus an ESC are required to control the jet. http://electricjetfactory.com/area51/

Almost done radio is installed. Test run fan. Flying weight looks to be 5 lb. Using Midi fan, hacker D50-18S , and 14 2400 RC Zap cells. Taxi test by the end of the week.
