profile EDF?

About a month ago I remember seeing some info on a german edf that had a profile fuse. I was wondering if anyone knows the website to the plane. I searched through and couldn't find it.
Thanks

Ryan,

I do believe that the model to which you are referring, is a kit made in Germany by a new-ish manufacturer called HFF.

They have four models, an Me109, a Giles aerobat, and a P-51 Mustang that are all powered by a Speed Gear FG1.85/Speed400 7.2v motor ( with prop of course ! ) and a model powered by a WeMoTec Mini Fan 480, called the Alpha Jet.

All the models are designed to be run on 8-cell to 10-cell 500AR nicads, and controlled with micro radio set-ups.

I have no reference to any website, which is probably why your search was fruitless, but they are available, in Germany, at:

Der Himmlische Hollein in Lauteral, near Coburg; and also at
Peter Adolfs Flugmodelle, Germany, telephone 02273 940666.

They are also available in England at The Electric Aeroplane Company.

As you are in the US, you may want to try one of the suppliers of Sig kits before ringing abroad, as there is a link between those and 'Der Himmlische Hollein'.
BTW - I know that Himmlische means 'Heavenly', what is Hollein ?

I hope that this is a help to you !

Well, to appreciate the whole of "Der Himmlische Höllein" one should know that in german "Hölle" is the word for hell

Anyway Höllein is my favourite mailorder if not dealer at all.

The Model you are looking for is the Alpha Jet. Manufacturer is http://www.aff-cnc.de and the supplier is http://www.hoellein.de

I've built this model a few months ago as my first EDF and as far as I can tell theres nothing comparable for "beginners".

Easy to built from 1st class cnc-parts, flys well and hand launching (by the pilot, of course) is easy even with a simple Speed 480 race.

Oops. Just saw they also sell it at EAM.

Chris Golds in Electric Flight International (British mag) has several profile EDF designs for Speed480BB. Traplett has an office here in the US where you can order plans.

Plan:
It looks like you could take an e-streak wing and draw up a profile using the TLAR method.

If you strapped on a couple of fans, you could extend the fuse back a bit and it would look sooo much better. I'm sure the preformance would improve slightly as well. Anyway, great idea using the K.I.S.S. principle.

Hell-o there !

Whu-hoooooo ! There's somthing; an EDF that will hand-launch like that ! Yup - that's the model in the pics I have in my magazines !
Things are moving with my EDF 'jet' but I do not expect a performance that will match that . . . I fear mine will need a catapult. )
Oh well ! Perhaps a Mk.3 ?

Haldor,
I love it, by the way - 'Heavenly Hell'
I knew that the chap was called Stefan Hollein - says so somewhere - I just had not associated the two . . stupid *** !
