Sunny Boy with NiMH battery pack

After reading all the postings and review about sunny boy I finally bought one. I'm having a problem with installing front and rear fuselage( step 5 and 7 ). I pushed the units in too hard and the foam fuselage opened apart from the top and bottom. I'm using strapping tape now to hold the fuselage together.

Just wondering if anyane else experienced same problem or is it just good old me again. I'm also having problem with fiting cowl same way as mentioned in the review.

I bought BasicDrive 400 which came with 1:3.6 gearbox and 7.2 volt speed 400 motor. Can I use my 8 cell NIMh 1600 battery pack with it or should I bite the bullet and buy NI-cad pack.

The final weight of my plane is about 700 grams, is this too much overweight.

I'm just a bit cousious about this plane as my previous two electric planes were disappointment. They just don't wanna leave the ground too long. ( Electric cub from VMAR and TL-96 from Hacker ). If this one doesn't work I have no choice but to go back with my Gas plane.

Any suggestions Most Welcome.

Thanks,
