Russ Thompson ME-109 and Meteor are now available.

I have talked it over with Russ and it has been OK'd to do some fuses for anyone that would like one. I currently have the 109 and the Meteor mold. I also have the Anvil (stretched ME-262) but that mold has issues. If anyone is interested feel free to PM me or shoot me an e-mail at Fuses also include a set of wing cores cut from blue or pink foam and a paper template for the tail.

Holy cow! Way cool that you're making these available. Well worth the price, whatever you're asking.

I'm in love with that Meteor. On Russ' web page, he describes the process of installing the elevator pushrod housing prior to joining the fuse halves. Is this going to be done on the fuses you're laying up, or is there any practical way to do this after the halves are joined?

Hey guys,
Just to let you know, Robert's glass work is very nice and I am confident that he will produce good quality kits.

RayH has the Spit and DC-3 molds and has been producing kits of those planes for some time. Although he mentioned to me last weekend that the Spit mold has warped a bit which is causing the vertical to lean to one side. That's the problem with building molds from polyester. If it can't be fixed, I'll have to retire that mold. I still have the plug and may make a new mold or I may redo the Spit entirely to be more scale like the 109.

Time always seems to be a factor for me which is really the only reason my planes have never been made widely available. I am pleased that Robert wants to begin producing kits as I've had lots of people ask me for planes, but lately I just can't do it. That said, I've left it up to Robert to decide what to charge for them since he will be doing all the work and paying for all of the materials. I will not be making any money on them nor will I be involved in any way. My payment will be the satisfaction of seeing my planes out on the slopes. It's great to know that you guys like my planes and I am looking forward to seeing a few build threads here.

Enjoy them!

A new RUSS SPITFIRE would look SOOO SWEET! I think the old one is one of the best looking planes on the slope.Go for it, Russ!

Russ –

That’s awful cool of you to let your designs go into limited production, especially without (monetary) compensation. FWIW, I exchanged some e-mails with Robert, and found the price for fuse and cores to be very reasonable. Hopefully my 109 will meet with your approval.

I have put together a list so everyone has an idea of were they stand as far as delivery time. It looks like its going to rain all week so I wont be working I will be able to lay up more fuses.I am trying to do at least 1 a day and I only have one mold so that should give people an Idea.
