Hi There,

The Canopy is scratchbuildt bu using what we call "Schrumpfschlauch" the material you use when you put your Batteries together, may be shrink tube is the right english word,

The Pilots also made scratchbuildt by depron.

The F-15 is a great flyer, it also loves wind.

Yours Al

My F-15J

Here is my F-15J from Steve Shumate plans

Maiden flight yesterday: flies well , only a little underpowered!

Some data:
weight 571 grams
motor Turnigy TR 28-26 1900kv
propeller 8 x 3,8
ESC 18A
battery 2S1P 1550mAh

I will try with another prop, maybe with 3S1P, or another motor...

Any suggestion for a motor in the HobbyKing range?

Thanks

massimo

Great work, massimo! I think that's the first F-15J paint scheme I've seen in this thread, and it looks really nice. Can't help much with the HobbyKing motors, I've never used or even read much about them. But the Suppo 2212-06 motors are now becoming a virtual standard on park jets in this size range. The work great with 6x4 prop and 3s batteries.

Massimo,

Try this one. Same specs as the standard Suppo 2212-6 2200kv motor. Fly it with a 30A ESC and an PAC 6X4E prop.

Hi Massimo,

I use this one:

http://www.rctimer.com/index.php?gOo...7&productname=

It works very good with the eagle.
I use 3S 1300 - 1500 Lipo, 30A ESC PAC 6x4
The Motor has 2200 KV
Maybe it ist the same as the hobbyking motor

I would go with Al's suggestion for RCTimer. I've actually had better luck with the Suppo brand than the DYS brand (what HobbyKing sells). I've had a few of the DYS ones throw magnets.

well i used 2200 battery, but aint got the plane anymore or a pic , but had to mount it pretty far back in the fuz, towards the le of the wing i think. Not sure but think i slotted one of the formers for it to slide in place.

EDIT. Whoops scratch that, a quick search revealed that i did the above on the Jetset f18, sorry.
