That is my nightflyer

I use the Align glow wire set up on it it uses an inverter to power two pieces of the glow wire. I also used a Curtek system on it that runs the 3 lights in the tail and the landing lights that you can turn on and off from the transmitter. The prop is one of a kind made by a friend of mine. It really turned out well. It does not fly as well with the light up prop but it was cool to watch just doing mild aerobatics it it really looks cool with the prop on it.

The yellow and red 3D plane in the 4th picture is a new plane from great planes if I remember correctly ... I think its going to be out in june and cost about $100 it really flew well.

Electro-luminescent glow wire is readily available in your local car parts and accessories store, like Auto Zone, and sometimes in the auto dept. of Walmart and the like. Comes in five colors and 4-foot lengths you CANNOT cut; there isa hair-thin anode wire runs down the inside to the end cap, you can't break that. but you can black out parts of it with black heatshrink, much like they do with neon tubing. It glows fiercely on 12 volts off a car battery, but it works okay at half-brightness off a nine-volt transistor battery, and runs for six to eight hours that way (for me). About 20 buckslooks lots like TRON:-).

The pic of that glowing plane is better than what my eyes told me at the event.
The most impressive light show was actually the clear hoverdisk full of LEDs, micro-strobes, and a lit prop. If it was a milky translucnet color, it would actually have glowed even better, but it was suitably UFo-like:-)

Devin, I saw some pics of a plane of yours with very interesting looking balanced aileron cutouts in the wing?

Any more info on that one?

Thanks,

Larry

Yea that is my F3A. The large cut outs in the wing were an effort to make it roll faster. It did not help as much as I had hoped it would, Although it does make the plane roll very precisely and very axial. It also does not give the plane any bad characteristics except for the slight added weight. I will explain it more when it gets back and I can take some more pictures of it its hard to explain without them.

Pictures 8 and 9 are of the Mako Shark Jet. Got and info on that plane? Looks like it would be a cool flyer, did you see it fly? Is it RTF or can you install a brushless system?
Are they out now?
