new F5D "limited" rules
Hi all,
I'm more and more interested by this category (cost effective regarding setup price and battery lifetime) Moreover, speed reached by recent unlimited F5Ds, are "a bit too much" for me now... ![]() especially when you don't have 10/10 on each eye... ![]() but I can hardly find all the details of the new rules. motors allowed? wing loading? flight time? minimal in flight weight? battery max weight? maximum number of cells? Lipos allowed? (I guess not) older F5D models compatible? (munga, fox... coz the new models are quiet expensive) thanks for helping cheers |

Hello Cabou,
F5D Limited is a national German class. So you will find informations about it only on www.F5D.org. motors allowed: 2x21 turn car motor (Graupner Dr. Speed 2x21) minimum total wing surface: 15.40 g/dmē maximum weight: 1000 g flight time: 10 rounds ~ 100 - 130 seconds minimal in flight weight 800 g battery max weight: 250 g maximum number of cells: 7 propeller diameter: 140 mm Lipos allowed? (I guess not): No older F5D models compatible? (munga, fox... coz the new models are quiet expensive): No. But the typical Limited is the Simprop Turn Left. With 140 Euro for the ARF verion it is cheaper than a used fully moulded. By the way, the wing must have a covered wood surface. Best wishes |
