Bring your list down to an LMH/Corona, Raptor and a Venture. Then go out to your local flying feild and find out what everyone at your feild flies. And also check you hobby shop for parts availability.

And don't even think of getting a Piccolo to learn on. I tried the same thing. And I ended up selling it 2 months later for less than half of what I paid. If you want an E-Heli go with a Corona.

Hey

Picolo is a good electric and cheaper but tough to fly for a beginner .
Raptor is well proven and is good for Beginner and experts
Venture seems to be good one ccpm controls seems as good as raptor
Nexus (forget about it) you may be able to get cheap but won't recommend (thing of past and sloppy, not 3d able )

I will limit it to EP helis, as that is what this forum is for.

For a basic fun first heli, with no plans for 3D and tuff. The Corona is it. Will still do FFF, stall turns, piroettes and loop.

For learning and future 3D. The Logo 10 will suit you well. It will do it all but all out hard 3D stock. Then it can be upgraded easily.

Parts are no problem for either heli and are in the price range.

The Logo can be had for under $600 with motor and ESC. You can get a CCPM radio for $200.

The only thing left then is batteries and a charger, which could run say $150-200 if you get 2 packs and a good charger. So you are up over the $800 you set.
