This setup is really fast! But it pulls around 60A WOT on a 3S pack...that's a bit too much for me.

Here's my setup:

Motor- ARC 28-47-2
ESC- Align 35A
Prop- APC 6x4 sport
Pack- Zippy-R 4S-2200

Mine is fast too...it's a bit heavier due to the motor and extra cell. But it's a lot easier on the pack. It pulls around 40-45A WOT.
I can fly for 9mins with throttle management.

Paul
thanks Paul....i agree those 4s zippy are some heavy suckers...40-45A sounds much better than 60A

60amps wow I have a E-flite Series 6 2700kv in mine with a CC 60amp ESC and 6x5.5 prop and only pulling 40amps. Yes really fast but can even get 10min flight time with slower runs.

I have taken a Stryker "C" motor, 40A esc, and 2250 25C 4S to 101mph on a 5x5 APC E prop in the FJ. Could fly for about 7 minutes with TM.

Run the same motor and esc on 3s with a 6x4 for low current (about 30 amps) and a 7x5 for crazier performance(about 46 amps). The motor would handle all of that well

If i were you i would go with a 6x4 or a 6x5.5 on the 28-47-2 on 4s. Thats around a 45 amp draw and it would be pretty darn fast!

Where do you fly?
Anything but a very lightweight Funjet doesn't seem like a suitable plane to be flying near houses and roads.
