Finally got to see these in the flesh yesterday at Sandown. Look the business and flew very well considering the wind (at least it was down the strip for a change).

Avoided buying any other planes so i can order this one next week :-)

If this isn't a winner then I'll be shocked.

I saw these at Sandown too and was quite impressed - although the weather was terrible and the other planes on display were huge glow motor things, so they looked like 'little foam toys' by comparison. The poor little mini-mags that were demoed at the same time looked as if they were struggling to make any headway against the wind, and the fun-jet ejected it's battery and canopy about 10 seconds into it's flight...

They seemed to do a good mix of pattern and 3D manovers. The plane was on display in the hall and seemed to be the usual high quality, well thought out design, with plenty of fuselage side area. It was selling for £68, which was more than I had left to spend, so I didn't ask what that included, or what the power system display planes were using

Are you sure they were selling Acromasters for £68. I just ordered one for £85 as their not going to be about for at least 3 weeks.

Sorry, I thought that's what the sign said - I must have confused it with something else...

The hitech robots were cool, but I kept waiting for them to do more than just their exercise routine - I'm sure most of the people watching were hoping they start fighting :-)

Anyone else still waiting on this? Anyone got an early model and want to get rid of it?

Update?

I haven't heard too much about the AcroMaster recently. The website says it was to be available in May but it is now well into June. Any update on a release date? Any videos other than the one on the website (Martin's)?

Last thing I heared was:
a) From my LHS who received an e-mail by MPX one week ago that there will be 2-3 Weeks before the start delivering
b) an e-mail by Martin Müller that MPX trying to get them lighter (by using a lower foam density). Don't think however that this means that it will be lighter than stated in the specs. Likely that the first charge of mass production was to heavy.

both issues are probably coupled.
I will receive my motor today. Kontronik Kora 10-16 :-). Will use Tanic 2500 3s.
Current plan is to use a 12x6 APC-E which will result in 10,5V and ~37A
400W and 2kg thrust should give a decent performance :-)

I seem to remember seeing that the wings are hollow, with cross-braced foam. If they're going to make it lighter, that makes me nervous.

Are they going to include a Permax 400 6V motor with it? That would be AWESOME. These planes fly so well on the Permax 400s.

Seriously though: I'm anxious to get one of these too. It will probably replace my tired Formosa.

It comes without motor. Intended for brushless from the get go. Designed and sold as a high performance aerobatic model. I'd be annoyed if they came with another paperweight speed 400. Suggested motor is more like a Speed 600 size anyway.

I was recently told first week in July was the expected date here in the UK.

Persumably not a problem, The CFK stabs run through at least 1/2 of the wing.
Question is anyway if they want to get them lighter as the prototypes or just the mass production ones as light as the prototypes...

Still expeceted beginning July here. Can't wait, all the gear is ready and waiting.

Was told the delay was due to them redesigning the motor mount.
