Here's a comparison between the 3 planes. Hopefully, I got all the measurement conversions correct. It appears that the biggest difference is in the Acromaster's large wing area which results in very low wing loading. In fact, the Acromaster's wing area is larger than the Oxalys!

Would it be possible to mark the one with the AXI 2820/10 in, say a red stripe on the wing. That way we'll know which one it is flying. This is because I'm thinking of fitting this motor to mine and would help in making my mind up. Cheers Dave

Hi Dave but a can of beer might be a bit heavy on one wing

The Axi 2820/10's arrived from flightpower today. The Himax motor will hopefully arrive tomorrow
I will see if there's much between the two. with tail wheel fitted the prop clearance (from motor centre line too ground) is a massive 9 3/4" so 18 inch props could be fitted!!!!!!!!!!

Will try to scan instructions for you guys but struggling for a scanner at the mo.

regards
J

Cheers for that. Yes proably you could put the red stripe underneath on the C of G point.
If you feel you need to let one of these kits go on Sunday I'll be more than pleased to help you out, just name your price.

Hi all,
Just popped into modelspot, the Acromaster looks nice, definitely bigger than you would imagine from the published figures. The quality and finished of this kit is ace, it just gets better with each model multiplex releases. Am so looking forward to get this one. The latest news from Justin for expect arrival in the UK is the 6th June. Oh and the FunJet looks cool too, that should hit these shores a little earlier, towards the end of may.

Roll on June

MalteS,

I just WISH I had an Acromaster to measure. I took the manufacturer's specs for each plane from the Internet. I'm hoping that Club 20 King will post a picture of the three planes...

High guys test flew 2 of the acromasters yesterday. Both on an AXI 2820/10 on 3 cells and 12x6 eflite prop
Climb was sensational! Both where too tail heavy. The hung and torue rolled o.k but where porpoising to much to able to fly arrow straight.
Looks like the himax motor will not be here in time for sandown so i will work on the axi setup for the rest of the week
Any one got motor calc so they can run some figures for me?

I have ordered mine in Germany to a shop which usually has very quick response (they sent me already the new Cockpit SX), but they warned me the acromaster is delayed once again to the end of june
