Radio Shack battery for SS Pro

Does anyone know the part number for the 1600 mAh Radio Shack battery used in the Sky Scooter Pro.
Is the battery a NI-CD or NI-MH?

I can't tell the stock number, but the stock SS Pro comes with 600mAh AA-sized Nicads, not 1600 mAh. I believe the 1600mAh are AA-sized NiMH.

Hey Goober

How is that car pack working for you?
The stock pack sucks for my Scooter as I purchased it with a speed 400 I think and added the 3:01 gear box from Servo City and I am only getting about 2.5 minutes from the stock 600 mah packs.
How much run time you getting from the Radio Shack 1600 mah car pack?

The Radio Shack and Servo City 1600 are both NI-MH and
preform about the same.

I don't actually use the RS battery anymore, at least until I change the connector over to a Deans plug (has Tamiya). I bought a couple of 1650 8 cell NiMh packs from and I really like them. They have a bit more punch than the RS pack and I generally get about 10-12 minutes on them.

Someday soon I'll put the deans connector on the RS pack and start using it again.

I'm running (2) 1600 and 1 1420 nimh packs in my scooter. They are all 1 year old from Rat Shack. Still have the crappy tamiya connectors on them and they are still working fine. Everything else I have (batt packs and esc's) I put Sermos connectors on.
2 things about nimh batt packs...
1) for new packs, they need about 5 to 7 cycles to fully get the power and duration.
2) always peak charge them right before you use the packs.
