Question

AXI 2808/20 rewind

Hi ,
since months , i'm busy in repairing an AXI 2808/20

I've forgotten to shoot some pictures before removing the wiring.
has someone some pictures from the stator with windings .

I've allready tried some winding , eg: 8x 0.2mm but with 20 windings , the tooth is not completely filled .

anyone some idees on what is original used ?

regards,

Koen

Goedendag Koen. We need to know the number of statorpoles (teeth) and the number of magnetpoles to figure out what winding diagram to use. I don't know the original number of winds

Koen,

You're in luck, I have been working on a building a similar motor out random computer junk (almost done and build thread to come if anyone is interested). That motor is wound with 20t in the distributed LRK scheme connected delta. This means that each arm with 10t of whatever the largest wire will fit, I'd try 22g.

Hope that helps.

LRK or distributed lrk only for 12teeth and 10 or 14magnetpoles. I think al AXI's have this but I'm not sure.

Ron,

The 2808 is 12N14P D-LRK.

thanks guys , thanks Ron

it has indeed an 12 tooth stator and 14 magnets , and as i remember , there are only 6 tooths used .
to be shure , i wanted to see some photo's .(i've really be stupid in not shooting some pictures with 2 digital cams in house , shame on me )

before I started on removing the existing wire , I had desoldered the original connecting wires , in order to have access to the multiple strains in the winding .
On my notes , I have 8 time 0.2mm diam wire , but when I try this , I have only filled halve the space around the tooth and the teeth aside . in the 6 tooth winding scheme

So 8 winds, not 2 winds & 4 parallel or 4winds & 2 wires in parallel?
Or 8 parallel strands, number of winds unknown?

Prettig weekend Ron

Ron , I mean 8 parallel wires with 0.2mm diam

for the moment , i've tried these 8 // with 12 Turns/tooth in distributed LRK .

question , has anyone a splendid idea how to temporarely fix the stator to the motormount , and to keep it easy to remove ?

I want this in order to make a testrun , and if i want, to go for another rewind.

I'll send a picture of the wound stator tomorrow.
regards and a good Weekend to you all .

Do i need to use more copper ?

I've made a testrun yesterday .
The stator was held by the wires .
It runs smoothly !
this week I'll try to make a testbench.

question : how to determine Ri ?
what I've done:
I 've put a known DC voltage on 2 wires and measured the drawn current .
U/I= R and voila : around 250mOhm .
compared with the specs from axi :
2808/16 : 90mOhm
2808/20 : 125mOhm

With hindsight, you could have used thicker wire, there's room for it.

Keep in mind, there are twho kinds of resistance, the actual resistance per phase and the resistance/parameter Rm that is used to model electric motors: rpm = Kv * (V-(I-Io)*Rm), Pout = (I-Io)(V-IRm)

did some testing with the stator kept in place to the motormount with some copper wire .

The original propeller from the easyglider is easily turned around .

now i'm going to try an 12 x 7 with some extra windings added to the stator

keep you posted

regards
