Trex 450xl w/hs-56 problem

I just got a Trex 450xl, and am using Hitec HS-56HB servos. The problem I am having is the servo arm is big time interfering with the canopy. Even if I use the first hole, It will rub. Am I doing something wrong?

Use the smaller arm that comes with the 56. Keep the ball on the inside like you have it. Mount the servo from the inside with a spacer to position the servo where it would be if the 56 had normal mounting tabs. Mine does not rub at all.

Look at the spacer on the servo. Also a picture of the servo arm. The canopy is before and after mounting servo inside with spacer. Hope this helps.

I didnt want to make my servo arms smaller so I just did this. I think if you reduce your servo length you loose alot of performance. I wish the folks who make the canopys would let us decide on where the mounting holes should go. Anyway my servo arms are not rubbing anymore. I have seen pics of those who mount the servo upside down with a larger arm.
