APC 5.5x4.5 or Master Airscrew 5.5x4.5 ?

Wondering if there is a better prop for my 6v Simple 400 and 9x1000 Nimh. The MA seems to be better in the air than a Graupner 5x5 . I've heard good things about APC props.

I do more more cruising around and low fast passes than aerobatics. Anyone flown both ?

Which is faster ?

The APC prop is a bit faster. But, it's also twice as expensive as the MAS. So, with belly landers which inevitably break the occasional prop, I don't think they are worth the extra money.

I have all 3 of the 5.5x4.5 props:

Master Air Screw
APC
Graupner CAM Speed
They are list in ascending order of hardness, price, and performance.

does that mean all things being equal you like the Graupner CAM Speed prop? can you explain why? More speed? More thrust? More duration? Stiffer? please expound on this.

I have only tried teh APC and It seems to be a better than the stock spoons or the carbon 5x5 props I have tried. I would like to know if you have found something better

This morning I tested two APC propellers and the Graupner 4.75 x 4.75 in my Python. The APC propellers were the 4.75 x 4.75, and the 5.5 x 4.5.

I was disapointed with the APC 5.25 x 4.5, the plane was slugish and quite slower than with either of the 4.75 x 4.75 props.

When I tested the Graupner 4.75 x 4.75, the plane was not as fast as with the APC 4.75 x 4.75.

Conclusion: If you want speed and performance, the APC 4.75 x 4.75 is the best of the three I tested.
