The F-16 specs are

Wemotec Midifan
Hacker B50-13XL
Hacker Master 77-3P opto ESC
Thunder Power 9S2P 4200mah Prolites
SpringAir 602 retracts
Hitec 5245 Digital Mini servos-tailerons
Hitec HS-56 servos-flaps
Hitec HS-55 servos-steering, gear doors
Jamar gear door sequencer

Maybe we can get Ed and Mike to chime in with the setups in their F-22 and Su-27?

The F-16 sounded like a turbine taking off. That has to be the most realistic sound from an electric jet I've heard. I've seen Jepe F-16s fly and they still have that high pitched whine like the other models in the video. I also could see the dust cloud from the exhaust. What size fan is in this model?

Thanks for sharing.

AWESOME! Man, that looks great. I took my video off my digital camera. This footage is top notch; widescreen and everything!

Thanks guys. The EDF unit in the F-16 is a Wemotec Midifan 90mm diameter. The motor and battery produces around 1400-1500W. I have not tached the fan but I estimate the RPM close to 40k. This motor fan combo puts out around 5 lbs of static thrust on the test bench but only around 3 lbs static thrust installed in the aircraft. The grey millitary painted F-16 that was in the pit area has a new redesigned inlet duct and inlet scoop. I am hoping that it will produce higher static thrust installed for greater acceleration with a higher top end speed.

I will be posting more links to videos of the event that Ed took as I get it captured and posted up to my server.

Average Joe 2 Semi-Pro n Back!
SU-27 setup is:

AUW 6.25 lbs

Two of each:
Wemotec Minifans
HET 2w-20 Motors
Castle Phoenix 45's
Thunder power 4s2p Lipo's

Total power is normally about 1400 watts, but these packs are really old and tired, so right now it is down at 900 watts total. The new batteries are in he mail though

Great Video Ted!

I wish I could have seen a little more of these 3 jets. It seems I was always busy doing something else when you guys were flying. I did manage to get my first good look at the F-16 flying from out in the parking lot and that is the best performing EDF
I've ever seen. All the work you put into that plane has really paid off. Congratulations on a great flying airplane.

2 x MF480
Kontronic Fun 400-28 brushless
Castle Creations Phoenix 45, one per motor, wired in parrallel to battery
5S4P Thunder Power Prolite 8000 mah
72 amps HOC, 1100 watts
auw ~ 6 lbs

Power recently upgraded from 4S4P 8000, that was about 750 watts. 1100 watts is better with the 5S, but battery gets hotter...good thing it's a Prolite.

That was Darren Jakel's HET F-18. He added gear to it. I don't recall the power setup but I think it was 600 something watts on 4S. Nice landing, he really nailed it.

I'm kicking myself for not capturing more footage.

I've got an idea...we need to get on a multiplayer rc sim and practice formation flying! I don't know which ones have the capability but I don't like the price of the Great Planes sim, too much!

As for the video, I filmed it with a Canon ZR200 MiniDV camcorder...all their line has the option to film at 16 x 9 widescreen. It looks great on my widescreen HDTV. It's the first video camera I've owned, and I waited 9 years for the price of digital camcorders to come down from 3000 bucks to 350!

I wonder if anyone shot any video of the noon time demo?

Oh OK ...that really was a nice landing.

I think everyone but you already has Real Flight.

My 8mm will do 16x9 also but the quality is not a good as yours.

Thanks for the video Ed.

Thanks for all of the videos guys, I only flew twice the whole weekend and you got one of them on video. The current power setup on the F-18 is:
minifan 480
Mega 16/15/2
CC Phx 45
4s2p 4400 Polyquest

I didn't get as much EDF footage as I wanted to but there is some mixed in with the videos on the Friday thread.

Yeah, Im getting one of those HET F-18s from Randy like Darrells got. All of those HET EDF's were impressive. I really dug Mikes F20 too. Very cool stuff.
