Corona tail rotor runout

After aligning the boom and the main rotor gear it's very apparent the the tr gear is running out by at least .01 maybe more. This is a brand new gear and I'm wondering if there was a bad run. Has anyone else come across this problem?

When you say "running out" do you mean running off center?

Is this the crown gear on the main shaft or the gear on the drive wire?

It looks to me now that the plastic gear that's pressed on the alum. hub is the problem. I have two of these pinion gears and both are defective. The tail rotor pinion gear on the crown gear side of the boom is not turning on center. So I guess the only choice I have is to split the diff. and to adjust by sound as has been suggested. There is nothing wrong with the drive wire.
