New way to charge aero ace

I am looking to see if anyone has found a new way to charge these planes because you can only charge a plane about 5 to 6 times then the battery becomes dead. I talked to someone about taking off the plug that comes from the TX and hook it up to the tritan charger but they said that would not work.....I was thinking about taking out the battery from the plane and charging it by itself......but I am not good with batteries and such...I think it would be cool if we could buy another battery and you can pop them in and out..I am sure there is someone out there who knows about this stuff and can do these things...>HELP us out please!!!
thanks

Are you using alkaline AA batteries in the transmitter? I use high output Nimh (2400mah) and I've charged the thing 7 times with it so far... not dead.... yet.

I've been getting ~30-40 charges before replacing the alkalines in mine.

Here's a newer model of mine.

I bought mine at WalMart for about $18 or so. It came with 4 AA (1800mah) batteries, but now I think it comes with 2200mah. It also comes with a car adapter so you can charge them on the road! *very handy*

They say it's a 3 hour charger, but it rarely takes more than an hour or two. Now that you have this charger you can buy better batteries like the Energizers or Duracells.

Are you one of these

How hot does the 15 minute charger get the battries, When the get hot you really take lot of life out of a rechargable battery and they don't charge as well if the are kept cool. I know everybody wants fast but in battery charging, fast is not always better. you can take 50-60% of the life of a cell away if you constantly heat the cells to 95-120 degress like some fast chargers do.

I charge mine still in the TX (not an air hog TX) or in one of those plastic battery holders. They are not going to melt when charge at a low rate on you normal battery charger.
