The wing
Basically, the wing is ready. It seems very flexible, which is not desirable, but that's the kit. I've given enough black balls, so I refrain from giving another one. I'm starting to wonder if this glider will fly acceptably.
The wing is ready for final finishing, maybe the structure will reach a weight of up to 100 grams. I applied two carbon rods to the running board, which were missing from the kit, but I had them around the house, in the hope of reducing the flexibility of the wing a little more. This increased the weight of the wing a little, but not by much. I would like it to come out under 250 grams in the end, although the manufacturer estimates it at 280 grams. We'll see in the end, after balancing. ImagesView all Images in thread

A few more steps until the foil iron broke. I ordered one of the same type, but I have to wait two more days until I receive it, so I can finish the wing.

I glued the carbon tube, being careful not to block the holes for the control rods. Then I mounted the 3D printed part for the wing bolts.
I covered the wing with the red foil from the kit. |

More checks and only one piece fixed with glue this time.
I'm going to glue the guide rings for the control rods. I wanted to check that everything will work well. ImagesView all Images in thread

I continued with the placement and testing of the electronic components, servo, BEC, receiver.
I was curious how the control rods would move in this configuration. Everything seems to work well. For now I fixed the servos in position. |

Nice build, have you managed to get it in the air?

Sorry for the late reply. For the moment other priorities have arisen - preparing for two F5J competitions.
I will be back only in August to finish this project and the first test flights. I still have to mount the rudder and elevator. |

Thanks for taking the time to document your build - it's a great help, given the lack of instructions. I'm just working on a wingtip, which is a bit of a jigsaw puzzle, and your photos solved some of my problems, thanks again.

Hi, thank you so much you guidance. Just completed with 251grams. That's with a 500mah 2s recycled vape battery, bec and reciever. Came together nicely. Obviously the same issues you had. Used the carbon look on fuse and tail.
