A hovering machine Pics and vids

The First design has the motor mount in the wing. In the second model I moved the mount to the fuse and added a cf leading edge spar. I cut my surfaces out at an angle then flip them over and cut an opposite angle. Tape holds them and acts as a joint. I only apply tape on one side. Enjoy the videos.

The hovering machine is so stable in a hover it's possible to land on the top of lamp poles. Watch the videos. 14 - 16 oz ready to fly.

The float's Velcro on to the wing. Water takeoff in only a few feet. Throw in some rudder with the floats on and it drops like a brick. Yaw causes the floats to stop all forward motion. It's amusing to watch... sorry I don't think I have any water vid's of this plane. Check out my twin for those.

Lamp post attempted landing 2

Tricky but fun. Before someone asks I've never hit a car or person while flying. I've been trying really hard to get the neighbors cat though. j\k

Lamp post takeoff, street lamp

This lamp it the most difficult to land on. The semi round top makes it really difficult to completely stop on. As you can see it can be done.

Lamp post takeoff, park lamp

There is a very large top to this lamp. It's easy to land on but very hard to get down if the prop is not able to spin. With the brushless motor the controller can't start the motor if the prop is resting on something. I've had it happen. I had to knock my plane off with another plane. Have you ever tried to fly two planes at once? I don't recommend it My ego was damaged more then the chipped prop.

Slow flight

Last vid for now, enjoy. There are more with an 8 oz camera strapped to the top of the plane. Another time perhaps.

The videos are great!

Looks like a cheap/simple design. Why did you make so many? Are they all prototypes?

Combat Damage

Funny you should ask "why so many"

My friend Anthony and I do combat with props. Believe it or not both planes in these photos were still able to fly. The rules are no rules lol. A roll of tape is all you need for a whole day of combat. I also build and sell these. Enjoy!
