I had to trim the canopy for swash plate clearance, anybody else have to?

Pulled my training gear off today and managed to get 4 18 - 20 minute flights in today, glad I went ahead and took off the gear!

Are we discussing the Honey Bee Fp2 or the hummingbird II? Both are shortened to HBII.

Anywho I have been having way too much fun with My Esky FP2, FFF on almost totally stock setup, only change is a 2S 830 lipo.

what mods has everyone done to this superb little copter? I just mounted a DD tail, the piro rate is definatley increased but it sounds like a hornets nest on steriods!

Mik: Probably the entire rotorhead assembly, and if I am not mistaken, the main frame has been changed also. Doh! I think www.heli-fever.com has everything, but last I saw the main frames were out of stock.

Incidentally: The HBII can be upgraded to the CPII by changing the rotorhead parts and finding another identical servo. The main frames are the same. I doubt I will do this however, as I hope to be getting my mitts on a HB Cool this year.

well...let's not assume anything till it gets here...one guy said he got one and it didn't have the transmitter with module. So...what does that mean, if anything?

(he got the transmitter, but it wasn't the 'new' style)

What's the one thing i can look at and tell which version it is?

I have a HB V3 and use it every day, it is so much fun to fly, I even fly it outside on calm days and it flys very well.

What you need to find are exploded parts diagrams of the HB I and II, to allow you to see what parts are shared, and what parts are not.

Attached is an exploded view of the Esky CP2, you want this sort of thing for the HB airframes.

That is a little hard to see due to rcgroups resizing it. The original is here.

I modded my HB FP2 , well sort of, I replaced the stock servo's with HS-55's and I moved the heli off the stock controler and onto my Hitec Optic-6, it might be overkill for a little $100.00 heli but she is a joy to fly now and I can hover hands free for just about as long as I can on my CP2 which is saying a lot (5-10 seconds) , nothing like the guys flying the big heli's who can leave for burger come back and there heli is right where they left it but then again how fun is that?
