Spektrum Radio Results

This message from "Dave Harding" <davejean1@comcast.net> brought to you by EFLIGHT!

One of my flying buddies reported the other day the results of his
instrumented test with the Spektrum. The radio was installed in a Lazy Bee
and flown to the limits of his visibility ~ 1450 feet, measured with an
altitude logger, with no problems. At 1250 feet he pointed the antenna
directly at the plane and the radio went into fail safe. Upon reorienting
the antenna it immediately regained control.

There is a lengthily discussion on RC Groups on the performance of this
radio; https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=452817

It supports my friend's observations with some getting much greater ranges.
Several reported "specking out" their models with no problems.

Several also experienced the antenna pointing loss and regain of control
when pointing the antenna.

The only bad stories are regarding the quality of the servos.
