Just discovered a German shop that has the most detailed scale fittings I have seen. Including lighted instruments and radars! Brass etching kits for popular models, etc. Click on Katalog and then download the 110 page .pdf version.

Here are two of my favorite places. Mcmaster carr, and SDP/SI. Mc master carr has almost everything a scratsh modeler can use.[screws, nuts, plastics, raw metals like ss and brass] SDP/Si has everything else. [gears, universals, bearings, and bushings.] If you need it for your model, you can probably find it there.

People here probably know about Model Expo. Their website is a little difficult to navigate, but if you get on their email list, they have sales occasionally, with codes for discounts.

I picked up some dremel bits and a set of nice diamond files, really cheap using a half off tool sale coupon a while back.

Replacement Antenna for DX6

If you bust the antenna on your Spektrum DX6, as seems quite common, there IS a replacement, regardless of what Horizon Hobby Product Support people will tell you. It turns out it is a common part, available from just about every hobby retailer on the planet but why Horizon won't tell us this is beyond me!

It is an "E-flite" part, number EFLH1058.

Do a "google" for EFLH1058, and stand back!

replacement dx6 antenna

Kmot,

I read your note that dx6 transmitter antenna's can be replaced by an
e-flite part. Is this a complex task? Please reply to jkifer@kc.rr.com. Thank so much.

All you need is a Phillips screwdriver. Do a search here, there is a thread with photos and descriptions.

Servo Power

Here is some information on converting a servo to drive your small boat or watercraft. I don't think this was on here already...

If you have an old kit from Dumas, they may be willing to send you replacement plans.

Try a google Images search for the Trojan f-31.

I love to have a look at this site and drool for a while in my lunch hour.
A sales site for mostly Chris Craft however the occasional Riva pops up now and then.
Many different era's, many different boats with many different photos of each one.
Could be a good source of info in relation to colours, deck fittings etc.......
