ECO 8 power setup recommendation

I have my reached sustained tail in and side in hovering phase on my ECO 8, and contemplating what power system to go to for long duration. My current 8 cell 3000 mah battery provides 8 min on brushed motor. Most favorable seems to be MEGA 22/20/3H with CC45 with 10 cell 3300 NiMH.

What setup do you have in your ECO and what “sport” flying duration do you get?

(Trying to stay away from big expensive LiPo’s)

The 220/20/3H is more of a power setup. You won't get good duration.

The max duration I get on a 22/20/3H with 10xRC2400s is about 7 mins of kinda weak power.

The 22/20/4 is much better for duration...I get about 10 mins of good duration on the same cells. See the EHBG for the pinion size.

See this thread:

The 22/20/4 actually gives about 10 mins of duration. In the above thread, when I tested the 22/20/4, the ECO 8 had a bad bearing which I didn't notice till later.

22/20/4 on 10 cell 3300 should be 13 min. Thanks for the extensive testing with all the motors and specially EHBG. I have been following it ever since I restarted learning helis.
