F19 Sea Wasp Park Jet

Here is my new park jet. It is taken from this picture that was posted in the fantasy jets section I believe, and was originally drawn up by an Italian gentleman I believe, I wish I had his name so I could properly credit him. The Italians can make any thing sexy from Ferrari's to Jets. It has been pretty hectic with school and other activities that my kids are in, and work has been a bear. But I had a couple of days to build, so I finished this one today. It has only been rough sanded but you can get the idea. I will work on the plans/templates when I get back to work and after I make sure it flys. This one has rudder, aileron/elevators, and a full flying canard. All up weight so far with three servo's in it is 13.5 oz. With the rest of the gear, battery, and paint should end up about 19.5-20.5 oz. I hid the control rods and wiring in the intakes and by making the inboard wing section an airfoil shape. I used 6mm and 3mm foam as well as a couple of big chunks of blue foam for the radome and canopy. It has a 30" wing span and is 46" long.

Nice job. For only a rough sanding, you did a amazing job on the details. I hope that she flys as good she looks. What drive system do yo plan to use? Geared or outrunner? Keep us posted on the maiden and the progress on the plans.

Thanks guys glad you like it. I am going to use a Hacker A20-20L outrunner and a 9x6 APC SF prop. I will use a Kokam 3s 1500 lipo. It has 1 servo for the rudders, 1 servo for each aileron/elevator, and one for the canard. I will mix the canard and elevator with my radio.

I think it is from the http://www.mcpecos.it/ site. It used to be full of fantasy planes but now I can only get the front page.

There is another one that I like even better at

Hi Al,

Yesterday's run was picture perfect, took about 9 hours total, with about an hour worth of breaks for re-fueling and a stop for some fast food. My son in law went with me to keep me occupied. I wish they were all that easy

Thanks Al, Tom and Im-Sad,
Yes the canards are full flying, I haven't had a chance to fly it weather has been absolute garbage, either high winds, snow or both. It should have plenty of lift with the wing area plus the flow through ducts and the airfoil shaped inner wing panels or at least I hope so. I think as light as this came out it could fly on a GWS 350 with the C gearing. When I draw the plans up I'll show the stick mount as well. I am actually going to paint it with Navy colors with VF-111 squadron colors. It will have the sundown scheme on the tails and shark mouth on the radome. I will either put a cheater hole in the bottom or stick a mock pylon on the center line so I can hold it to launch. Glad you liked the Mig-29 I have only flown mine 4 times now but it gets better each time. I am thinking about doing a 150% or 200% Mig after Christmas-early spring. Still have to finish my Draaken. I sent your check in the mail for the write up!!!LOL
John
