Question

Anyone building the RCM&E plan this month?

In the latest issue of RCM&E there is a pull out plan for a CD rom motor powered twin rotor design out of depron. Anyone building it yet?

Regards

Not I.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is RCM&E? Is that a UK magazine?

There's a twin rotor depron gyro, complete with a full scale plan, which is what made me look in this forum . Gotta get some copies made of the plan, and I hope to be cutting depron next week or maybe even this weekend.

Just picked up a copy of the mag (January issue BTW). I wonder if it would be suitable indoor. I haven't read the article completely or unfolded the plan yet, but it looks simple enough as it mostly all 3mm depron.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I looked at the close-up of the wheels used: bottle caps!

Picked up the magazine today. Never built a gyro, but I have a box of 3mm Depron waiting for a project and this looks like an easy one for me to start with. Just have to order a cdrom kit to build, another speed control and a receiver. Just had to mention that, my wife reads my posts sometimes, so now she will be prepared when I get my stuff Bud

Had to go shopping today with the wife . I at least got the plan spray glued to some poster board and cut out. Pic of it is not the greatest, but show's what it looks like. Bud

Been going slow on this project, been some what busy lately. Did get the fuse and rotor's done. Only thing I changed, was added bearings to the rotors instead of using bushings. You get the angle of the rotors by overlapping them by the center hub.Bud
