megatech 10A brushed ESC+BEC question

Hello all,

I just got a megatech PF4000 flight system as a present (the wife
thought on her own to help me out as I start in this hobby). The
instructions neglect to inform which wire is what so I attach the picture
below. Is the big white plug the battery connector ? The reason I'm
asking is that this esc is supposed to have reverse polarity protection
and from the looks of it the diode that provides this protection is
on the black wire which ends at the aluminum spade connector.

The big white plug is the battery connector and will mate with what are generally termed mini-tamiya plugs.

Curious about the PF4000 transmitter . . most of the previous contributions have discussed the version included with the Freedom Flyer, which did not include the trainer port on the back. If yours is a 72mhz frequency unit with a 6-pin port, looks like the FSM001A simulator cord for FMS should work (if your computer has a 9-pin serial port).

The EasyStar ARF would be an excelllent candidate for a first plane . . Hobby Lobby . . sometimes on sale at Hobby People . . review.

Thanks aeropal !

The transmitter (72MHz, Ch. 41) indeed comes with a buddy box plug,
cable (both ends male 6 pin round plug), and buddy switch on the xmitter.

The package, 4ch rx/tx, 2 servos, and esc, was bought for 60 bucks but
they feel like boatanchors when handled

Best regards,
