Hobby Lobby is also proud to be a major sponsor of this event. We will be on hand flying demos, selling in our booth, and helping Jim B. with the Live Coverage.

Ready to Tear It Up!

I'm excited to bring Team Hell to support Miss Amanda and sponsor the E-Fest.
We will have some new foamies to help stir the air up to a frothy 3D mess and will be selling at the show as well.
Look for live streaming video from the HELLcam as well as photos uploaded twice daily! We are also going to record the live streaming video so after the show is over you can watch a movie of all of the images spliced together.

This is going to be by far the funnest electric event that anybody will have ever attended! Not to take away from the amazing JR indoor event, or the ETOC, Memphis etc.. but there are some amazing things going to happen at this event. Great Planes and Electrifly will be unvailing an array of items that I am pretty confident that everyone wil be very happy with.

Some of the amazing things such as the E-Style Contest, Blackout, and lets not forget about all the Flatouts that will be given away will be very exciting to be a part of and attend.

This is also a great opportunity to come and see the Hobbico and Horizon facilities which both just so happen to be in the same town as the event. (WOW)

I cannot wait to see you all there, bring a lot of foamies, a lot of helicopters and a face with a big smile on it.

See you all there!

It's gonna rock!

It's still three months 'till the event, and I'm already stoked. We're gonna be putting a lot of foam in the air again, and there will be a lot of very exciting new products being debut'd at the event (nope, I can't tell you more than that right now... )

I can't decide whether to install LED's or go with glow-in-the-dark paint for the blackout. What're other folks planning?

This is in fact a heli event as well. If you go to the web site there is a schedule of the daily activities. There you will find when the heli's can fly. This is by no means an airplan event only. Anything that can fly goes!

Thanks Jason... I'll try to get our indoor group from Indy to come over. This event falls on a weekend we aren't flying so it's a good date for us.

We're hoping to have your dad come fly with us this year. We just have to get things sorted with out indoor place because they screwed us and resold our time slots for December.

I've never been to one of these events - luckily I happen to live in Champaign now!

Do the vendors typically have special event sales and new products to show off? In other words, should I start saving my money now???

I'll be there either way- can't wait!

Some vendors will knock a little of the standard prices. You will almost always see new planes in the air. Usually the stuff you see isn't out yet. To answer your question...start saving!

I hate to be a Scrooge, but aside from the night flying, there doesn't seem to be any events/contests going on for the average flyer. Something like an indoor scale contest, best jet, pilot's choice, etc. would be cool. Besides the vendors, I don't see much difference between this and my local golf dome.

Okay folks, tell me why I'm wrong!
