Might be worth driving a couple of hours once or twice just to see what goes on.

If you take some simple glider and attend one of the contests in your area, you are likely to get some expert coaching, as well as seeing what some of the really obsessed guys do things. Many (certainly not all) of the obsessed guys will even know what they're doing. At least if soaring contests there are anything like here.

Haha...I laughed at the results of a Google search for Durex. 8-)

Yes that is where the name came from ..Durex was made to perform and do the best for what it was made for So that is why the name Durex that is from Bob Hansing the designer of the Durex .. photo is mine Durex that I made last year and it is a Great Floater ...

Back many years when Bob Hansing was flying the Durex - and teaching me most of what I know about thermal flying - I recall that he told me that the name Durex stood for DUration - EXperimental

But Mr. Kite's glider flies like it is "lubricated", and it stays "up" longer, as witnessed on last summer's contest....
