Beginners guide to electric motors

All,

I've seen bits and pieces, but is there some beginners guide to electric motors?

Something that would provide a good foundation and maybe be a resource for more advanced questions?

I will work on this topic, soon, to indeed gather in one place all the relevant Data I'll find and compile unless I find it somewhere already done, before.
