InstantRC - Gee Willikers (All terrain Gee Bee!)

Gee Willikers is an all terrain Gee Bee made from 6mm Depron. Flys great in calm weather. Not a windy day plane, but still tons of fun.

Looks fun. I nice simple float plane.

I really liked the transition from water to land to water. The bird didn't like it so much though!

Looks like a good one, IRC. Great to have a nice, simple alternative to the Hydro's...

Appears to fly well, too

Nice , 2 of my favorite things GeeBees and all terrain airplanes.

You mention land, air, water and show those. You mention SNOW as well but its not in the vid. Have you tried snow yet? I'm curious how it went cause I've been playing in the snow with a hydro and its not as easy as one might think

Very cute Chris, you don't see a lot of all terrain aircraft. LOL. Looks like it flies really well too.

Very cool. The float/skid design is pure genius. While the hydro is a boat pretending to be an airplane, this is an airplane. Not doubt about it's primary purpose. A variety of Schnieder's cup racers could be done like this.

A Beaver would be tempting to try like this... I'll test it if you want to send it

I love this thing! I love Gee Bee's so when I saw the floats, and I said "OK.. a Sea Bee" (The "all-terrain" part didn't click...until the walk up the ramp!).

I agree with Gene as to it's being a great alternative...taking something that flies well and adapting it for land and water use makes mucho sense.

Congrats again,...hey...where's that lake?

Margot

I never could find much liking for geese and ducks...mean critters, they are!

I was trying to put my Parkflyer Pete on floats. It's a profile plane so "full bodied" floats would just not be right. I experimented with a large single profile float. It floated but the amount of additional area in front of the CG generated some huge adverse yaw

A pair of these skid plate floats would be perfect.

margotcopeland,

That a good name "Sea Bee"! To funny. The lake I was flying at is in Douglasville, Ga. - SweetWater Lake, Its a real nice park. The swans there are so tame that they wont leave you alone, Its kind of hard to fly there because they are always in your way.

I was looking into buying one of the Gee Willikers (the fact that it is cheap is a bonus) but the ship rates are a bit high. I live in Newnan so, is there a way for me to pick one up?

And yes, Sweetwater is great. I especially like the IPA and the Sweet Georga Brown Ale. Oh, wait a minute, are we talking about the park or the beer?

bkahuna,

Their kits contain the cnc cut depron parts only. The build instructions are detailed and online. The carbon and controls arms can be purchased seperate through InstantRC.com. I purchased one of their kits and I was very impressed, the gee willikers flys great.
