There is a swap tomorrow morning at the Kane County fair grounds.

Look for swaps here. http://modelaircraft.org/events/cale...=5%2f24%2f2012

Thanks!! Ya I have two cameras. One is my HD camera, the other is my FPV flight camera that I use to fly the plane.

With all this talk of selling planes, guess I'll mention my A-6 Intruder is still available. I've had some interest in it nationally, but shipping is prohibitive.

Was $200 new, was asking $90, will take $80. It's a steal at this price, all you need is a receiver and 1200 -1600ma 3s battery. If going with a 1200, should be 30c. Send me a PM if interested.

Looks like Saturday will be excellent weather for flying. My wife has the kids all day so I'm charging up the batteries and hope to make a day of it.

Hi all,

I'm pretty new to the hobby and have just been flying on my phoenix sim and a UM t-28 on weekends when it isnt gusting like crazy.

I've been scouring google maps for flying sites and found one which looks like an RC field, but I cant find any websites linked to it:

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=...-8&sa=N&tab=wl

I live in northbrook, and this seems to closest that is big and spaceous. Been meaning to drive by it and snoop around but I wanted to see if anyone here knows of this place.

That's the old Grainger field. I think that was closed a few years back. I don't remember if there was a club there or not.

How did you go about getting permission from the high school? I'd like to approach my local school about using their gym for some flying.

We went to the high school and put on a demo flight for the kids at our indoor flying site but i dont know the first guys that flew in romeoville outside .I think they just never said anything and just fly there .It is almost two blocks of pavement to fly off of and a couple nice small shade trees for summer. joe

I'll be flying this weekend, but not until around noon or thereafter. I have to take my daughter to dance class in the morning then I have the whole day to myself. I only have one indoor plane, but am up for a road trip to anywhere in Chicagoland to meet up and fly if anyone else has plans.

That's a beautiful Short Solent. I love seaplanes too... working on a 1:10 Grumman Goose right now and I have a smaller Sikorsky S-39 as well as the Electrifly PBY and several other planes either already on floats or set up for it (Tiger Moth, Ryan PT-20, Beaver). Ashdec has a huge 80" CL415. I know Angelo has a Guanli PBY as well. I've flown off the lake at Montrose and at Skokie Lagoons... but would love to find a more secluded lake with easy access to launch the planes.
