Exceptional video! Score matched perfectly with the flying and that's the best flying FFF I can remember seeing. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire flight. Kudos to the camera person as well.

Dimensions or underside pics of Funder 'n Lightning ?
Yars,
What's the basic dimensions for this interesting twin-boom screamer? Even an underside pic would help. Thanks! |

Thought I'd bump up the thread so more people could get a chance to view it. The video link is at the top. Here is the latest paint job on her.

Cool plane, really like how it looks like s P-38.
Have any details/picture/plans/measurments of it, so I could try to make one? |

Well, I had a funder.. I guess the only thing is to build a Funder'N'LIghnin..
![]() Just curious, what are the dimensions from the end of the ailerons to the LE of the wing, that is the only dimension I cannot find.. 2robinhood - maybe this pic will help.. |

The aileron is about 2 1/2 inches inboard the wing tip. Attached are some details on mine (my second). I used some carbon fiber arrow shafts for the spar and booms - MUCH stronger. I have mine radically over powered with an eFlite 450 and APC 10x7 running off a 3cell 1600 lipo. Because it is so rigid, it responds like a fuel injected rattlesnake. I've played combat with some other folks and they just quit because the F & L turns so hard. Plus with the power, I can out accelerate anyone who does manage to get on my tail. I use this model every weekend as my warm-up plane and also when winds are too high and the only folks flying are wings. If you scale up like the Boomer or Carl's drone, you need to lengthen the boom more than simple scaling up. The increased wing area makes the plane closer coupled and it gets twitcher. Jim |
