Micro sized Helios? Good idea or Thud? NO solar panels!!

I think one of those would be awsome, any suggestions for a design of one?

HUH? You need to check out the heli forum. Talks of 12 inchers going on then.

The "Helios" is a solar powered flying wing that NASA developed and is still working on. It is a research aircraft, not a heli! They made theirs out of carbon fiber and mylar, it's no helecopter at all.

There have been pictures of a 4 ft version flown at functions for the project built by one of the project members floating around a few of the last months model magazines (model flyer comes to mind). Limited duration in the configuration they were using but it still looked nifty.
