While search for Vario Prop parts I ran across this. Electric Aero Modeling Bomber One Seven. Check out the video.

Wile_e,

The short answer to your question is 'No'

The Bomber One Seven is a gorgeous plane built-up from balsa. Probably more than most people thinking of ARF foamies would be looking for.

The closest to a RTF you can do is to pickup the old Multiplex Cargo plane. There is a hobby shop that as of 3 months ago still had some conversion kits to make it look like a B-17 - good enough for stand off scale. I was ready to pick up the plane and a conversion kit when I came across some posts that said it did not fly very well. https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...=7#post3794589

RoadKill designs has a profile B-17 kit for about $100. It is largely (all?) balsa.

If you are ok with a balsa build, kit cutters sells laser-cut kits in different scales:

Cedar hobbies announced an ARF balsa B-17. It has an 81" wingspan. I have no idea what electrics one would use in that beast!

I posted some info on B-17's in Gene Bonds C-47 thread, post # 281
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...8&page=4&pp=75

This person made a nice blu-cor B-17 has lots of info and a video:
https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=403303

This is just a great collection of 1:1 scale B-17's:

My plan this winter is to build a B-17 with a 40-60" wingspan out of foam. At this point I'll start with a profile design derived from Gene Bond's DC-3 and see how it goes or perhaps a foamie built from Fiddler's Green plans. A full fuse would follow later if it flew well and my needs weren't met with the profile.

Glad to hear that someone else is intersted in a B-17. Please keep us posted on what you find. I don't understand why no company is producing a foam ARF kit. It would sell like mad.

Found this on rcscalebuilder. It is another amazing B-17:

My favorite pic is the builder standing next to a wing on page 2!

Oh, and this one:

An older, scratchbuilt foam B-17:
http://users.cybercity.dk/~ccc16084/fly.htm

"...build in white form, cowered with brown paper. The plane have a wingspan at 2 m. 3 wheel retracts, powered by 4 pcs. S-400 7,2v with gearbox and 10 cells."

Wow! That b17 was awesome! Nice paint job! You buy this as a kit or did you build it from plans?

No, sadly none of those forts are in my fleet. Hoping to have some sort of fort this winter.

For those of you that like bombers and the like, here's a video of an 8 engined RC tupolev:

It flies beautifully. Wow.

The same directory has a DWG of the plane.

b17

Yea that was a cool plane! But I really had my heart set on a b17 bomber and after some thought, I'm thinking a smaller size ( 40" or smaller) that I could easily fly at the park nearby would be more practical than a 80" wingspan model....I would even built from a kit if I had to.....I liked how slow flying the model was in the video you posted....
