Well

The Terry from Graupner is great if you want something in rudder elevator. I just put 4 flights in late this afternoon out in the yard, coz I had 40 minutes to kill. Stiff breeze, moon just showing, canaries chasing Terry, no cloud, sun setting. Wasn't the Spiro (no room) but could have been worse.

Also check out the new Turn On from Ikarus, mine is on order, but with the carbon fibre reinforcement, twin 280s, ailerons and V tail, I can't wait.

Something to be said for small gliders that can be flown at the drop of a hat.

If your in to building, the MImi is a great thermal flyer. Its RE non-electric design but a few have discussed modding it to fit a motor and battery.

just a thought

The new Super Fun 1.3E ARF manufactured by Topmodel and sold by Esprit looks pretty sweet. A solid choice if you don't care for foam since it features a balsa/ply wing, fiberglass fuse and carbon tail boom. Also available in this Rx Ready Version.

EDIT: Just realized I responded to a thread that was over a decade old!
