E-Flite mini ultra stick

id love to overpower this one with a geared mega and 4s lipo. eflite calls for the standard 6:1 park 400/ 3s tp 2100. what do you do with quad flaps?

Quad flaps allow you to use crow mixing- the center flaps drop down and the outer ailerons pop up. Using this technique on the 40 sized version allows the pilot to point it straight down without gaining too much airspeed.

Nope not really. Spiolerons are Spoilers and Ailerons mixed. You see spoilerons on full scale passenger jets on landing. That is when the spoilers raise on one side of the wing to help in roll stability and to quickly level the wing.

Crow raises both aileron straight up and the flaps go down. It is very draggy and allows the plane to be flown straight nose down without adding significant speed.

Your radio transmitter must support "crow" or full 4 servo wing support (sailplane mixes have this) in order to do this. Sailplanes use it for spot landings (high drag = spot landing).

Looks like it would make a nice "winter beater", for those of us who have to contend with such.

Yep, gone are the days of decent CAD files of this plane. Of course, Goldberg came out with their electric wildstick first but Horizon is known for the sticks.

Still might complete mine just for the fun of it. Mine is a completely different size and wing chord, etc...
