# Torque value for Wemotec Midi Fan 90mm

Hi,
Can someone please tell me the torque values as function of RPM for Wemotec midi fan 90mm?? Also can someone explain how to calculate thrust and torque values for a ducted fan. I know Momentum theory and Blade element theory which are used to calculate propeller thrust and torque.

Thanks
Oct 02, 2005, 04:10 PM EDF rules... :) Just calculte it as you would an air mover, figureing the average pitch as driving the calculation for thrust. It is quite different from a propellor driven system as the airfoil in the blades provide such little force in producing thrust. Yes I know there is more to it than that but it will get you started. EDF rules... :)
The root pitch is 53*, the tip pitch is 30*.

Oct 03, 2005, 01:15 AM aerobuddy can someone provide me thrust vs RPM plot for this fan??
Oct 03, 2005, 05:39 PM Watts your motivation I know there is a graph here somewhere. My search isn't turning it up. I am just getting into larger than 70mm fans at the moment, and didn't have a need to save that information back when I saw it. Good luck! Justin

Oct 04, 2005, 04:26 AM aerobuddy What is "VStrahl" in the linked excel file for Midi fan on the kontronik website. Is it efflux velocity of air coming out of fan after stators? thanks
