I flew my Trex today, first chance I've had to really get it out in the open and do some FFF. It's a vice flyer, very responsive, but I think too small. I lost orientation twice in a 11 minute flight. I don't have any trouble knowing which way the Eco-8 is pointed, these shogun/Trex sized helis are really hard to keep track of, it's probably just my 50 year old eyes/reflexes! Maybe if I paint the canopy bright orange?

Hi,
Nice Cobra

Thats the principal reason why I become confuse regarding the option Eco8 vs Trex, The other was the wind handling capabilities of both models.

Oh well, big helis have to wait now

The Cobra is nicer in person! I haven't got a ride yet!

The Eco handles wind 100% better, it's not as twitchy, it's big enough to see at some distance, I'm just getting old Jorge! 8^)

I have about 95% on another Eco-8, I'm really thinking of selling the Trex and building up the 2nd Eco with a little bling.

Your eyes are young my friend, but mine are old as dirt. I can relate after spending years flying 1/4 and 1/5 scale heavy metal warbirds these micro and mini choppers are small and move fast.

Cheers Art - Boyd

yah, I lost orientation with my shogun & Trex a few times. Most of the time it resulted in a crash.

Been there and done that with the WWII stuff too (still do too), camo paint jobs make keeping track of things tough too, but not as hard as these small helis!! Thanks God for HH gyros. 8^)

I've learned to wait and watch, seems like a long time (probably milliseconds) but you get another perspective once it moves a little and then I can start breathing againg. 8^)

A fellow club member sent me a picture of me and my Eco and a video he had taken at the EEE. Haven't figured how to use FTP in Linux yet, if I can figure it out, I'll post the video. BTW, it looks just like my flying... just flying around looking like a Helicopter.

Just got gftp working on my machine at work (it's just like WS_FTP in Windows) so if I can manage setting it up at home without help, I'll be set.
