Aerotetris T-38 Talon 2800mm build
Hi mates!
Just received my Aerotetris T-38 2800 ¨kit¨. First impression after opening the box is: a 2800mm plane can´t fit in that little package. But I changed my mind after being 1h just to write numbers in each piece and pull apart them... just for one of the 5 polystyrene sheets (pic below). There will be more work that I thought classifying all the parts! I´ll try to update the thread with pictures and building progress. Of course, tips or advices will be kindly appreciate! Equipment Following Aerotetris specs, the plane is designed for 2x120mm EDF. I´ve been thinking about this. I´m ¨obsessed¨ with scale flying, and I don´t like those jets taking off, flying and landing on ridiculous speeds. So my main objective will be to be in a weight between 10 and 12 kgs (wish me luck). To achieve this goal, i´m considering the following options: -Just one 120mm EDF on a 8-10 kg thrust range, with 12S Pros: cheaper, less weight using just 2x6S LIPO pack and one EDF. Cons: I don´t know how this kit is designed, but a two engines into one engine conversion it may be a nightmare. -Two 105mm EDF, with 8S each, with 5kg thrust each one. Pros: more thrust, easier installation. Cons: more weight. What you guys think? Maybe I´m too naive targeting on 10-12 kgs total weight? Regards, Alex |
