Hitec RX w/ JR TX

Hi everyone. What is the best hitec RX will work with my JR6102? I need to fly tomarrow, and i cannot get a JR RX, so i was going to pick one up to see how it works.

Thanks,
Keith

Dude whatever Hitec Dual conversion (positive shift!!!) reciever you choose will work fine! I have Super 8's, and 555's. NEVER had an RX problem wiht any of 'em. I like the super 8 because its a bit more 'robust' and holds up to the slope pretty well, but the 555 is just as good, and small-ish to fit in smaller planes.

Doooo Eeeet!

Are there any hitec PCM Rx's? So the 6102 is duel conversion?

Jr?

I dunno why you can't find a JR.
7oo is ppm
770 is spcm single conversion.
Most Horizon lhs have them in stock or certianly can oder them.
Hitec does not support pcm.
Tom Copp has stock on these and higher end units as well.
Gyro hobbies in Laguna Hills also has them in stock well as Ultimate Hobbies in Orange.... Call ahead.
Depends on what your using it in for space considerations.
I fly Spcm's single conversions in my area due to the fm rich enviroment..hitecs glitch alot.
Another good alternative is the Berg 5 very clean glitch wise for a PPM.
RC Direct has those in SanDiego...858 560 9633....

Good luck.

I believe all PCM receivers must be used with the same brand Tx, so a JR Tx can only be used with a JR PCM Rx. This of course isn't the case for run-of-the-mill PPM Rx's.

I cannot get out to a hobby store that carries jr recievers...Will a hitec crystal work with my JR Tx as long as they are the same frequency?

no... it wont

Rule of xtals: Same Brand, Same type as device being used in! i.e. (Hitec DC RX gets Hitec DC Xtal, and Jr TX gets Jr TX Xtal)

I just tested my TX with the 555 and super slim (8ch) and both of them did not work. I tried it with 2 seperate RX crystals and there was nothing. They were both + shift and the crystals worked with my JR RX....go figure. Also, i acidently riped the antena out of one of my r700 rx's and aft er i soldered it backl on, it went out of range about five feet away....any sugestions?

Hmmmmm....You CAN use your JR Tx with a Hitec positive shift receiver with a Hitec receiver crystal. As SlopeKing says, always use the same brand receiver and receiver crystal (Hitec RX & Hitec Xtal, Berg RX & Berg Xtal, etc.) You should be able to use any brand of positive shift receiver with it's mated Xtal.

Ripped out?

Geez.
That sucks...just open the case of the receiver up and locate the position of the antenna wire...and re solder it...CAUTION...use flux and rosen core solder.... a solding iron on low...quick movements here do not over heat the circuit board....or for that matter smear solder over any where other than where it is intended....obvious reason.
You may use the correct shift crystal in the 555 receiver match the channel to module in your tranney....if channel 60 in the tranney like wise in the receiver....use a hitec in a hitec and so forth. The 700 receiver is a good unit try to repair it and use it.

Again good luck.

Breaking the antenna and resoldering it will not neccessarily work, as the impedance will no longer match...

theres no such thing as a 'shift crystal', a crystal is just an oscillator.

Hitec in Hitec, futaba in futaba, jr in jr... simple as that...
