Anyone has any idea how to get to 9303 service menu, I have two 9303s, mode 1 & mode 2. I tried to convert the mode 1 to mode 2. So far, I got the sticks completed by moving, spring, rachet, digtial trim and analog trim. So, now the mode 1 radio is in mode 2 format except the some of switches. One of thing I noticed the different on mode 2 mainboard, there are two 9 pins connectors for each stick, the 1st three is for digital trim connection. Mode 2 has digital trim connection under right stick while mode 1 has the digital trim connection under left stick. Basically, one of 9 pins connector will has 1st three pins empty depend on with mode you're in. Analog trim has a fixed location, a 3 pins single connector.

But I cannot find the setup menu to swap the throttle and elevator controls. If I use the mode 2 main board onto mode 1 radio, the control channels are corrected. So, I guess service menu should let you switch between two modes and set mode programming onto mainboard as well as calibrate the pot resistance limit. If not, I have resolder the pots from throttle to elevator and by vesa and hope both pots resistance are very close that does not affect the travel limit too much.

Entering the service mode will not do anything for you as its a hard wire jumper on the pcb that inhibits user stick mode. Even if you do change the jumper, you have to carry out a complete system reset and you will lose all model memories.

mac_man, Can you point me to jumper location on PCB ? My radio is new, I dont have any model setup on memories yet. Will the system reset mess up the radio configuration values which require to re-calibration, etc ?

Yes as a system reset & reboot (so it picks up new hardware config) erases the entire memory. This will cause you a problem on your throttle stick as you have physical travel limiters fitted.

i did succeed changing 9303 spektrum radio from mode 2 to 1

just unsolder jumper sj5 ( sj 5 and sj 6 are open ) then in the engineer menu completely reset your radio and it becomes mode 1
now change the springs recalibrate your sticks and done

Was it hard to move it to the left side ?

Well I changed my xp9303 from mode 2 to 1, I needed to sell it and the person who wanted it flies in mode 1, I did everything as read in various posts, but as I wanted the analog trim in the right side as the throttle, I had to make some adjustments,

.-first, swapped both analog and digital to their final place,
then I changed the polarity of the 3 cables, since now they are in other direction, I changed 1 to 3 and 3 to 1,

.-next changed the digital 3 cables to the PCB side of where now the elevator is, if you don't do it this way the digital trim wont work when you change the SJ5 and SJ6 to open for the radio to know that now is mode 1 instead of mode 2,

.-when all the wiring and spring relocating is finished, it's time to desolder the SJ5 and enter the service menu to calibrate the sticks, after doing all this,

Now I have a mode 1 fully working with 3 digital and 1 analogue trims, so for everyone saying it could not be possible, here is the explanation on how to do it.

Alejandro,
