Glad to see you are started! I see Pat is also on board with his kit build thread. Maybe you guys are having a race? It will be interesting to follow these builds right on through the flying reports.

Good Luck, and Happy Building!!

c170--you are further along than i am with the waco--only wing tips and bowed parts so far on mine.

i hope to get some more done after shipping my ebay stuff tomorrow--its nice to have these dumas kits --

keep up the great work--build threads are the most interesting part of ezone to me..

C, I made some progress on my Porter today too, and while framing the fuselage I discovered a problem. So, to save yourself a step or two, before you glue B11 into the fuselage, check the alignment of the wing mount bolt holes between parts B11 and A8. Mine don't align, and I'll bet yours won't either.
The best bet to correct the problem is to make a new B11 from 1/8" balsa by tracing the outline of the kit supplied part, then drill the bolt holes into B11 after it's mounted in the fuselage, using the wing is as a guide. I've already informed Dumas about the problem, so it will be corrected on future production runs. Sorry about any inconvenience the problem might cause!

C, I'll be finishing this one in a really striking red, white and blue scheme. I'll post a photo of the full scale soon.

The Mysterious Battery Hatch

c, Here's a couple photos of the battery hatch on mine. I pretty well finished framing it today, so for the next few hours I'll be spewing sanding dust into the air.
