Build Log

Robbe U-47

I have thrown myself into deep water, and bought the U-47.

With so many parts, I hope it all turns out well.

Thanks Harry.

I found that neat site myself some time ago. Im just going to build mine as stock as possible.

I already glued the stand together, and assembled a litte of the internal structure

Just take your time and the study everything good before you glue anything together.
Not a hard kit although the instructions are a pain. I am almost done with mine .

SJ, I've seen you tackle with the Robbe Seawolf on the RC-universe forums and believe me, you can do this job!

Good Luck, fellow U-boat modeler!

Thanks guys

A little progress

I have been cuting out a few parts for the next few steps, and could not resist and assemble the conning tower
If you dont like playing with ABS parts, this is not a kit for you!
Luckilly, Im still friends with abs plastic, and its going well.

Is that tube your WTC? how do you intend to get it in & out after it's all assembled? I can't visualize it. the opening looks too small. should I wait and see?

U 47

Hi,

Do you intend to run the boat as a dynamic diver or will you convert her to a static diver?

Static diver conversion using an Engle tank has been very successful. It was first done a few years ago in the UK, by Clive Wadsworth.

Whatever you decide I hope you have a green board.
