What (roughly) will your finished flying weight be and what kind of performance are you looking for, scale or insane? Do you plan on using the 10in 3 bladed stock prop or will you go to something else? What batteries do you want use? Lots'a questions.

Terry,

I think that you will find the info that you need in the parkflyers forum. There is a thread dedicated on converting the PZ P51 to brushless, try the search function. Have you considered building your motor from a GoBrushless kit? I think that it'd be interesting to see what a GBX triple would do for one of these.

Terry,

Check out Justgofly.com. They have a video of a super sportster flying on a geared 400df. That plane weighs 3 pounds. So that set-up would definately fly the PKZ P51.

That will be the upgrade for mine when I wear out the stock set-up.

A 400DF geared 3.89:1 can get you almost 40oz thrust at 18.45A with an 12x8 GWS HD - a 9" or 10" 3-blade might draw about the same:

MMM 400DF 3.89:1
10.5v, 18.45A, 193W, 5880rpm, 44.5mph, 1119g, 39.40oz, 5.80g/W

Here are a few numbers for the Walkera 3200.

If you need speed try a TM 2000 gearbox with 3:1 ratio.
