I'm running the Mega 16/15/3 with a Cam 5.5x4.3 prop and 8xCP1300's. It seems to go at least 75-80 mph comming out of a dive. Very hard to tell really...could be faster or slower than that. It is MUCH faster and more fun than the stock set up for sure.

This was a 1/3 scale Duo Discus. That's 6.7 meters of wing my friends.

I Had just finished a 1 hour thermal flight (actually timed) and decided to do a speed run. At airshow central the elevator fluttered. At stage left the elevator servo slipped it's expensive little gears and all I had was full down and more full down. It was travelling fast and only sped up as it went in vertically from about 100 feet.

Dead US AIRCORE !


Hereys go, an AIRCORE CUB hit the runway ( paved ) nose down, full speed. Didn't fare too well. The motor exploded into 100 pcs, fuel tank bounced down the runway. I that I can figure is that there was interference of some kind.

GWS P-51 meeting the ground. I don't know if this was from a little too low pass or if simano decided to give the P-51 a "Viking Funeral" retirement. I still haven't gotten a really straight answer from either of them.

I posted this in a foamie thread, but here it is again. It got stuck in a very tall oak tree. Most of the damage is from the sticks I threw to get it back down. It's almost ready to fly again.

I crashed my Ezette straight into the ground. After I hand launched, I realized I had the rudder and elevator throws reversed, panicked and crashed. I learned not to be talking while preparing my plane for flight.

oh man oh man some bad crashes there. I think possibly trees are the worst. I got my zagi stuck in a tree once so naturally i started climbing. I got as close as i could to it and couldnt go any farther with out stressing the tree branches, so i had my parents toss me a 8 footish pole( they had to throw it since it was no where hear long enought for me to grab). The sad/scary thing is the pole was almost to short even once i got it.

laser arrow crash


After a long day fidling with my PT40 irvine engine (we can't get it to run good) My instructor wantend to fly a bit with his delta arrow. after take off the model went up and rolled over for an unexpected up-side-down take-off. my instructor tried to roll her back but this time she rolled further and he had no more ailevon control.. so she plumeted down with full throttle straight in to the ground nose first...from 6 to 10 meters high

the os engine was completly burried in to the frozen ground.







we wanted to let her stand as a warning sign.... do not crash here.

we never discoverd the reason of the crash

Ken, I like this one better. FYI, the pilot walked away . He was wearing his seatbelt.

NTSB report says the cause of the crash was a discharged rx battery. I had about 20mah left on the battery. (320mah pack). Throttle went wide open and she went in like a lawn dart from 50 feet up.
I guess 7/6/2002 was a bad day at Tuckahoe.
