EDF unit...trim the housing or leave it alone? (As365 Dauphin)

Just wondering if anyone has built one of these and trimmed the EDF unit. If so, does it make a difference? I don't like how the fan housing sticks out the right side of the fuse. I know, I know...the motor sticks out too. But some things can't be helped.'s your body. Any suggestions?

Leave it stock. You will lose too much efficiency if you alter the duct. The Dauphin in the pic was mine.

Thanks Hoverup. I figured it wouldn't be as efficient, but I also thought I might be able to get away with it. You know more about this then me, so I'll take your advice and leave it be. Thanks.

Nice heli, btw.
